It’s that time of year again and here in Tuamgraney we are eagerly awaiting this year’s renewal of the Blossom Harp Festival.
It began in 2016 and takes place on Palm Sunday Weekend each year – This year it’s on from the 3rd-5th of April 2020.
It’s an enjoyable weekend of music and dance for all the family with Harp, Fiddle, Concertina & Set Dancing Workshops, Harp-Makers Exhibiton, Sessions, Concert, Ceilí & Musical Historical Walk.
Local, National and International musicians will attend and it again promises to be a Weekend to remember in Tuamgraney.
Festival Line Up :
FRIDAY 3rd :
Opening Session at Nuala’s with Fiana Ni Chonaill, Lizzie and Friends.
9pm. Céilí with “Out The Gap” at Bodyke GAA Clubhouse.
SATURDAY 4th :
9.30 am Registrations
10 am -12 : Workshops : Harp Intermediate and Advanced Fiddle ; Concertina
1pm-3pm : Workshops : Harp Int. Adv. + Beginners Sean Nós ; Fiddle Adv.
3pm- 6pm : Harpbuilder’s Exhibition St Cronan’s / Recitals in town
4pm-5pm : Ensemble Workshop St Cronan’s ( all instruments) with Denise Glass & Tutors.
8pm : Gala Concert
9.30pm : Session at Nuala’s with Martin Moroney and Friends
SUNDAY 5th :
10 am : Morning Breakfast Session at Nuala’s with Locals and Young Musicians.
10am-12 : Harp Workshops.
2pm : Competition’s Registrations.
2pm-5pm : Competitions / Harpbuilder’s Exhibition.
