We’ve Done It !!!

Ireland beat the famous All Blacks on Irish soil for the first time ever in the Aviva Stadium (I prefer Lansdowne Road!!) last  Saturday 17th November 2018.

We won by 16pts to 9pts in a rip-roaring Test match which more than made up for our failings in the previous 113 years.

We beat them 2 years ago in Chicago but this was sweeter, being the first time at home.

We have set down a huge marker with this victory and can now look forward to next year’s World Cup with confidence.

A Jacob Stockdale try in the second half  and 11 points from the boot of Johnny Sexton earned us our victory as we held the All Blacks tryless for the first time in years.

The Irish performance was epitomised by Man of the Match, Peter O’Mahony, who was warriorlike in everything he did.

We’ll enjoy Christmas now and look ahead to the Six Nations in the New Year.!!!
