The June Bank Holiday Weekend is almost upon us and that means the Tuamgraney Community Weekend – Renowned Author Edna O’Brien is our President – is not far away.!!!

“Come & Join us to Celebrate our Community.”

It promises to be a brilliant weekend with a fantastic line up of events commencing on Thursday with the Stephen Maguire Memorial Under 12 Hurling Tournament game between Bodyke/Mills & Feakle/Killanena in The Evicted Field at 7pm.

Friday’s highlight is a Choral Evening in St Joseph’s Church at 8pm, with Johnny, Jim & Friends leading the after concert session in Nuala’s.

The ever popular Afternoon Tea Dance (Free Admission), with Larry McEvoy, takes place in Nuala’s Marquee from 4pm-6pm on Saturday, followed by Community Mass in the Park at 6.30pm, while “Cash Returns” – Ireland’s leading Johnny Cash/June Carter Tribute Band – take to the stage in the Marquee later on Saturday night.

Beginner’s Guide to Electric Vehicles will take place in St Cronan’s Church on Saturday between 12 noon & 4pm. 

 “21st century cars in a 10th century setting” – Well worth a visit.!!!

Sunday features  “Community Day” in the Memorial Park from 4pm – 8pm (BBQ – Bouncy Castles – Disco – Children’s Entertainer & Cartoon Characters etc)  with Devo’s band on stage in the Marquee at 10pm for the inauguration of the 2019 Mayor of Tuamgraney.

McKernan’s Woollen Mills will have free guided tours every day, while Wilde’s Irish Chocolate will host Chocolate Tasting & Tour on Saturday.

National School Art Competition & Exhibition, Free Canadian Canoeing, Golf Tournament, Kindness & Pet Rock Workshop, Treasure Hunt and Senior/Junior Fishing Competitions are some of the many other attractions  which will take place.

Tickets will be on sale all weekend for a “Monster Raffle” with the 1st Prize of a 50″ LG Smart TV, winner to be announced on Sunday night.
